Sunset Beach, NC

Every day on the beach is different. Each day tide pools and sand bars are in different places and finds vary. Yesterday I found several dead shorebirds and met some artists who were also birders. Today I took the the photos below. I think I have already explained that I use a tremendous Kodak point-and-shoot camera on the beach because I get sand on cameras while taking macro shots of specimens. I cannot take my heavy Nikon for such work. Thus I cannot get good bird photos. I was setting up my tripod to photograph this great black-backed gull when he flew away. |
